Easier Care Plan Task Management for ADLs in Verveware
Care plans change, and the tasks recorded on a caregiver’s schedule sometimes need to change with them. Verveware’s updated Care Plan Task Management (ADLs) makes it easier for homecare agencies to correct past schedules while maintaining a clear record of those changes.
Previously, it wasn't possible to delete or remove tasks from the past schedule modal. Now, you can add and remove tasks simultaneously, making schedule updates faster and more straightforward for agency staff.
Add and Remove ADL Tasks From Past Schedules
When reviewing a past schedule in Verveware, you’ll now notice a cross icon next to each task. Clicking the cross marks that task for removal when you save the schedule.
At the same time, you can add any tasks that should have been associated with the visit. This means administrators no longer have to treat additions and removals as separate processes when correcting care plan task information.
The update is designed to make day-to-day home care administration simpler, especially when staff need to ensure a past visit accurately reflects the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and other care plan tasks associated with that schedule.
See Existing and New Tasks at a Glance
Verveware uses simple visual indicators to make it clear which tasks already exist and which have just been added:
White chips indicate existing or completed tasks.
Green chips indicate newly added tasks.
The cross icon lets you select an existing task for removal.
These visual cues help administrators understand what they’re changing before saving, reducing uncertainty when updating a caregiver’s past schedule.
Changes Are Reflected in the Historian
Once you save the schedule, the task changes are also reflected in the historian.
That means the updated schedule and its historical record stay aligned. When agency staff need to review previous care activity, they can see the changes within Verveware rather than having to reconcile information across separate records.
For homecare agencies managing many caregivers, clients, schedules, and care plans, keeping historical information synchronized is an important part of maintaining accurate documentation.
Why Flexible ADL Task Management Matters
Activities of Daily Living are a core part of documenting the services caregivers provide. Depending on a client’s care plan, tasks may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, meal-related activities, or other daily needs.
But schedules and documentation don’t always remain static. An administrator may discover that a task was included incorrectly or that an ADL performed during a visit needs to be added to the record.
With Verveware’s updated task management workflow, authorized staff can make those adjustments more efficiently without being limited to adding tasks to a past schedule.
Make Schedule Corrections More Efficiently
Instead of working around an incorrect task list, staff can review the schedule, identify what needs to change, add new tasks, mark existing tasks for removal, and save the corrected information through one workflow.
That can make routine schedule administration easier while helping agencies maintain cleaner care plan documentation.
Keep Care Information Connected
Care plan tasks don’t exist in isolation. They are part of the larger operational picture that includes homecare scheduling, EVV, EVV compliance, billing, payroll, reporting and analytics, and care coordination.
Keeping task information accurate helps agency administrators work from a more reliable record when reviewing past visits and coordinating ongoing care.
Care Plan Task Management as Part of Your Homecare Software
Verveware brings care plan task management together with the tools agencies use to run daily operations. Rather than treating caregiver tasks as a disconnected checklist, agencies can manage them alongside scheduling and visit information.
For agencies evaluating homecare management software, it’s worth looking beyond whether a platform simply supports ADLs. The practical question is how easily administrators can manage those tasks when real-world schedules need to be corrected.
Verveware is built to support those everyday workflows alongside capabilities such as EVV, caregiver scheduling, billing, payroll, revenue cycle management, reporting and analytics, mobile and caregiver app workflows, care coordination, compliance, and integrations/API connectivity.
A Simpler Way to Keep Care Plan Tasks Accurate
With this update, Verveware gives agency staff more control over past schedule task management. You can add new tasks and remove existing ones in the same workflow, quickly distinguish new tasks from existing ones, and have the saved changes reflected in the historian.
It’s a small workflow improvement with a practical goal: making it easier to keep caregiver schedules and ADL documentation accurate.
